Czech To The Chase
Recent Chicken Wings graduate Chase Matsuda obtained a provisional trainee contract with Czech VI.394 club COCONUTI today, as young head coach Josef Vařeka continued tweaking the squad of the newly-founded outfit. Matsuda had been primed to transfer to local Division Three side and former Singapore Consolation Cup winners Coco FC, but eventually settled on a foreign venture.
Wings chief scout Tham Beng Li remembered Matsuda as a fairly average midfielder with the Wings, though one with a refined approach to football. "He has some very elegant tricks that some of our previous stars wouldn't even try, but he really needs to apply himself more to the rough-and-tumble part too."
