Nadim Joins Coruripe
Rancher Rabbits academy graduate midfielder Nadim Kamarul Hisham got a place at Associação Atlética Coruripe (Brazilian Division Six) on a free transfer today. Previously turned down by Arrogancae's U-20 team before persuading Rabbits scout Yip De Da with his work-rate, Nadim had self-admittedly been rated as a marginal prospect coming off his youth career, but Coruripe head coach Thiago Travassos evidently saw something in him.
Nadim will be part of a freshly-raised set of players, with the only other non-local being Canadian trainee Conor Collins, which is just how he likes it. "Thiago has made it clear that everything's up for grabs." he grinned. "Works for me!"
As for Grilled Birds, they would garner another windfall from a former player, as 18 year-old defender Viswanathan Tanguturi went to French III.1 side Draco Cularo for over S$1.5 million, a season and a half after turning professional. Chicken Wings chief scout Tham Beng Li congratulated him on an impeccable career thus far. "He's made the most of his strength and heart, which are his best attributes. I look forward to reviewing his future deeds."
