Middling Once More

None of the Grilled clubs managed a winning record on Day Two of the Supporter Week Trophy, with the Birds going down 1-3 to Portuguese Division Five club CANOSA FC, who played on the counter. Javier Miquilena got them off to a fast start in seconds off Chu Xin Lee's saved effort, and despite a typically courageous shift put in by Cyril Künzler, CANOSA added two in the last seven minutes to kill the match off, before Künzler slammed a consolation in from a twenty-five yarder free-kick.

Austrian fourth division side Borussia Pötzleinsdorf would wipe Grilled 5-1 next, with Dutch central defender and set-piece specialist Kai Wils celebrating a hat-trick, after Islom Davlatov had put Grilled in front with a neat grounder. The Birds would finally find victory against former Pilipinas Ruby Challenger Cup winners FC Philippine Dragons, with Chan Ze Han getting them going in a crazy conclusion to the first half, ending with a 3-0 final result.

Farmer Bunnies' unbeaten streak continued against Swedish IV.103 opponents Dalbottens BK, as a slick Enzo Paolo Panzarino opener was followed by two Abderahim Bentellis breakaway goals; Dalbottens' Nogay Altan replied in between those, to make it 1-3 at the final whistle.

A 2-2 against Barbados Division Two champs Soto Kudus FC was next, as Achacy Kwiczala equalised in the 62nd despite Brendan Leung sticking to him like a leech. Bunnies would deeply regret Lau Chang Wan's miss from up close in the 79th, as Tommaso Bellotto put Soto Kudus FC ahead from a corner five minutes later. However, with Kwiczala withdrawn after that, it would be Enzo Paolo Panzarino who would equalise from the penalty spot.

The Buns would finally be halted by Czech Division Three Redspool FC, whose ex-Ivory Coast international winger Philippe Diallo struck once in each half to give his club the win. Farmer Bunnies just could not cope with Redspool's sparkling wide play while maintaining coherence themselves, and had to resign themselves to the loss.

For Grilled International, it began with a 6-1 thrashing by H.I. club Lions of zaire, with Yao Erguo's header from a corner their only reply as Joni Fyrstén ran them ragged with a treble. They fared better against another H.I. side, the Maldives' Screaming Eagles Graz, winning 3-1 with Micky bin Kadir back on form, before a narrow 2-3 defeat to Italian sixth division RedHawks Pescara.
