Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Unium. The corner kick from W. Ping Shun was powerfully met by the head of N. Muthyala to make the score 0 - 1. A drive down the left side allowed 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) to get in close and score another goal for Grilled after 11 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave D. Steberiakas from Unium a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 16 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Grilled increased their lead after 19 minutes when M. bin Mohd Kassim broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. The visitors' W. Ping Shun took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 23 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Grilled. After 31 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed G. Filippone to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 5. With 33 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was M. bin Mohd Kassim. 0 - 6 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

Grilled came close to extending their lead as 雄. 入江 (Irie) delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 51 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. 52 minutes into the game Unium managed a counterattack, but R. Stryjek took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. Unium's M. Fundoni found himself alone on the left side 63 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! 68 minutes in, Grilled's W. Ping Shun received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 72 minutes, Grilled sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached L. Aik Jia, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 7. The visitors nearly scored again after 72 minutes, but a superb save by G. Turra kept W. Ping Shun's free kick out of the net. C. Meyer left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. R. Isufi was the replacement. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 88 minutes, R. bin Ahmad came on for 凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) . Grilled had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

Unium's top performer was clearly C. Pirarba. On the other hand, A. Mällinen's play was disheartening. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) performed admirably for Grilled. M. Xin Seng was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
