Vāsulis came to the rescue and stopped the attack. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when L. Aik Jia slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against O. Armas, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. Proving his experience, C. Ying Lee scored 0 - 1 for Grilled after putting some pressure on the opposing defence at a critical moment. With 9 minutes played, Valentain's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to A. Pinheiro he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 1. 18 minutes into the game, R. bin Ahmad had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 20 minutes allowed L. Wan Kang to score for Grilled. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. R. Isufi could have put his team up another goal 27 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Grilled had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

The Valentain coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, L. Wan Kang would have put Grilled up another goal 54 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. After 57 minutes of play, V. Rozītis evened things up for Valentain with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2. After 60 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving C. Ying Lee off the field. P. Bellamoli took his place. The Grilled free kick 62 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of L. Wan Kang, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 3! After 63 minutes of play, E. Sekreckis equalised for Valentain after an elegant attack from the right. As the 80 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. L. Wan Kang reluctantly made way for D. Bögengang on the pitch. Z. Jing Wei was handed the Grilled captain's armband. 84 minutes into the game, P. Bellamoli almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Valentain caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 85 minutes into the match. E. Sekreckis was able to finish off the move - 4 - 3. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Valentain's best player was A. Pinheiro. E. Stendzenieks on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt L. Aik Jia. H. Bakhtiar was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 3.
