Han Kok Back Home
Grilled spokesman Chew Hock Meng had some good news to release today, as he announced that Birds legend Quah Han Kok had been hired by the club as an ambassador and part-time pundit. Quah had been on vacation since being replaced as head coach of Sport Tapasca by former Andorran national star Jordi Frances a few months ago, and was receptive when offered the role by the Grilled board.
"I don't see myself returning to active coaching soon, and to be honest the wife was getting homesick." Quah said. "So when this very nice gesture from the club came, it was an easy decision to take."
Quah will join the commentary team on Grilled's in-house GbTV webcast effective next week, alongside main host Tejbir Singh. This also means that the only former Grilled player engaged in a head coaching role is winger Fan Chuancheng, who is currently managing Swiss Division Six club Chelsea Zürich.
