Hilal 7 - 1 Grilled

e weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 2806 had shown up at My playground! for the match. Igor Bergenhenegouwen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vasil Yankulov and Alexander Kopietz. Hilal started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Bino - Abu Zaid, Sointu, Mahadeen - El Beik, Barjes, Goettel, Tayyem, Tohme - Fourfouras, Mahmoud.

A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. Lineup: Bakhtiar - Stanca, Ross - Wee Li, Gudivada, 尊文 (Zunwen) , Adabala, Da Teck - Boon Boon, Azhari, 恒才 (Hengcai).

Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Hilal took the lead 9 minutes into the game by 1 to 0, as Hasim Barjes elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. 31 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Lakis Fourfouras dashed through, knocking home 2 - 0 for Hilal. 唐 (Tang) 恒才 (Hengcai) sailed high above the opponents as he headed the 2 - 1 goal in on a corner kick from Walter Ross after 37 minutes of play. 唐 (Tang) 恒才 (Hengcai) made a run for the goal 38 minutes into the game but the home team's far left defence managed to sort the situation out in the end. Hilal's Wassim Tohme was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 39 minutes. Hilal put themselves up 3 - 1 when Jaleel Abu Zaid broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 1. Hilal enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Grilled's Li Boon Boon was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. Teo Yong Yau was given a chance to change things around. Cheers filled the stadium as Isa Abbas Tayyem broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 4 - 1 goal for Hilal. Hilal managed to extend their lead to 5 - 1 when Ibrahim El Beik cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After an industrious effort down the middle, Zaid Mahadeen could have closed the game off after 65 minutes, but his finishing shot hit the post. 66 minutes in, Hilal's Lakis Fourfouras received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Hilal's lead to 6 - 1 as Ibrahim El Beik finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. Hilal solidified their lead at the 79 minute mark, as Isa Abbas Tayyem manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 7 - 1. Confident in their lead, Hilal's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The bench was restless, and with 85 minutes passed Grilled's coach gave Slavcho Tzonkov the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Walter Ross reluctantly left the field. Grilled needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 89 minutes 卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) made way for Yvan Lefébure. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Hilal, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.

Hilal's top performer was clearly Sarni Bino. Zaid Mahadeen on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was Slavcho Tzonkov. Hilal Bakhtiar">Hilal Bakhtiar was a disappointment, however. The match ends 7 - 1.
