Ang Powers Through
Eighteen year-old hopeful Ang Jian Yau, who hooked up with the Chicken Wings youth academy at the age of fifteen, became one of newly-founded Qwaser's first signings; the new Italian Division Ten club had been stocking up on youth free transfers, mostly from U.S. Pallavicino, who are in the division above them.
Ang was scouted by Mok Feng De from weekly recreational kickabouts, and Mok remembered him as a youngster who was always trying new tricks. "He simply loved to have it at his feet." Mok said of Ang, who is most comfortable in the defensive half.
It has been a busy week for the Chicken Wings, as they graduated Ibrahim bin Yusoff, and unearthed an intriguing new prospect in Wayne Burton, whose parents are permanent residents hailing from England.
"Ibrahim has already confirmed interest from local defence trainer -= Manchester United =-, and we're betting that Burton can fill his shoes." a coach at the academy offered. "Wayne's a lanky fellow, and the other kids mostly give up when he comes in for a header. I don't know if that's something to be happy about."
