Yang Bayern Bound
17 year-old Chicken Wings defender Yang Shuangyuan left for Austrian Division Six club FC Bayern München Zero on a S$10 000 transfer, whom he picked ahead of F C Fontelas 14 (Portuguese Division Seven) and Sigmaclub (Japanese Division Five). German teenagers Roberto Zakall and Yannic Prehn and Finnish lad Julius Lehto should provide his main competition for a regular spot in the recently set-up club.
Shuangyuan, who looks up to Beckenbauer as his main idol, has been observed to be more than willing to bring the ball upfield at his feet at youth level, and it remains to be seen if he will be allowed to do so at his new side.
