Teutonic Fang
Early developer Fang Chaoli finally waited out his year in Grilled's reserves, immediately snagging a contract with German Division Ten club KS Piast Eppingen. Although he had been groomed by his father for years, Fang still had to complete his mandatory term with a local club before moving abroad. "It's dumb, but rules are rules." the 18 year-old goaltender shrugged.
SW Overhagen, also of the German tenth division, and UF AVELLINO of the Italian eighth division were also in for Fang, but KS Piast Eppingen eventually pulled off the S$178 000 deal. While he may be behind local lad Niels Kipling in the pecking order, Fang is confident that he will get playing time.
