While most of the attention had been focused on Fan Chuancheng while the pair were tearing sides apart in the youth team, Hu Jianyong has always been a bona-fide talent who would have starred in just about any club at his age-level. While Jianyong was unable to score a souvenir in his farewell game in Finland against Seppälä OY, he did get one in his last local game versus Rob Rangers.

Hu will have some catching up to do, as Chuancheng has earned a good measure of respect with his showings in Grilled's reserves. Most of his teammates are of the opinion that it would benefit him, however. "The two of them have always pushed each other to greater heights. It should be the same in the Grilled first team." mutual friend Foong Kok Chuan said.
