Blissenbach Bounty

The Birds are all too happy to accept a S$140000 cut from the sale of former player Tim Blissenbach from Rakete Reissdorf to Portugal's Opeia F.C, which is 3.5% of the S$4 million deal.

"Nawaz Talib's signing means that already tight finances are stretched to just about the maximum safe limit, and at this point any income - from friendlies, cookie sales, anything - is welcome." club financial advisor Ronald Tiong said. "We're not at the stage of having to lay off the cleaning lady yet, but the windfall from Blissenbach will save us from having to pack our own lunches, let's put it this way."
