Buk Out
21 year-old
Bukhari Abd Hamid's stay at Grilled came to an end, as he was snapped up by Argentina's Qubic in a S$1.62 million deal. German Division Nine side FC Turka was first to meet the S$1 million minimum valuation, followed by Turkish Division Five side Boseta. Bukhari however looked set for French Division Six club WBP, who doggedly incremented their offer, only to see Qubic snatch him from under their noses.
"It was hard to leave the club that developed me, but when the coach took me aside and told me that he didn't see me becoming a regular in the next three of four seasons, I knew I had to go." Bukhari said. "I need games at this stage of my career."
Bukhari leaves having won Grilled's Young Player of the Year award once, and has 25 appearances under his belt, and six Singapore Cup goals.
