Grilled 4 - 0 Bluedragon
ercast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 30714 at The Cooking Pot today.
Volker Rodenhagen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mariusz Dziewocki and
Matthias Ramsauer. People from all over had joined up for the derby. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Harlow - Alcántara, Bona, Dewilde - Dai-Lin, Stanton, Siu-Yue, Kek-Tjiang, Noor Yadah - Langeland, Martinsson.
Bluedragon started off with a 4-3-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Jeremy - Wennborn, Geurden, Bokland, Magnusson - Sugden, Chi-Kuang, Roux - Johannessen, Manaf, Kah-Wei.
It was obvious that Bluedragon were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic. After a fine move down the middle
Jan Langeland nearly gave the home side a goal after 4 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. At this time in the match, Bluedragon were using their skill at pressing to successfully put pressure on their opponents. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 11 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
Fabian Bona, who, unaided, came in from the right wing hooking the ball over the visitors' keeper. 16 minutes in, Bluedragon's
Frangky Manaf received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Luis Alcántara was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Grilled's
Lan Tuan-Mu had to come off the bench.
Fredrik Wennborn got left behind when Grilled's
Aznan Noor Yadah made a sudden pull forward after 23 minutes, finishing off with a swift strike. 2 - 0! Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Au-Yong Siu-Yue squirmed himself through their central defence after 24 minutes, bringing the lead to 3 - 0. By now, Grilled were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. Halftime score was 3 - 0. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 66 percent possession of the ball.
After 49 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to Grilled's
Au-Yong Siu-Yue being carried off the pitch and replaced by
Jon Andrea Rottman. After 50 minutes
Aznan Noor Yadah made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to
Jan Langeland who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 4 - 0.
Jan Langeland almost managed to score another goal for Grilled, coming from the right, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors' keeper. With 57 minutes played,
Jon Andrea Rottman could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.
Most important Grilled player was
Asher Stanton.
Lan Tuan-Mu was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Bluedragon player was without a doubt
Frangky Manaf.
Johan Magnusson on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 0.
