Dutch VI.953 club Laat ons voetballen included Grilled International's Wang Jianpeng in their recruitment spree, as Finnish head coach Teemu Stång offered the 17 year-old fullback a chance to make an impression, with a short-term contract. Tall and a little ungainly, Wang might not have been many scouts' first pick from the Bees, but Stång evidently saw something in him.
Wang acknowledged that the hard part was yet to come, what with the Laat ons voetballen squad having some twenty-four hopefuls under twenty, but he also felt that the red-and-white stripes looking good on him made for a fine beginning. "I'll take all the pluses I can get!"
