The almost man of Grilled Birds, Magunsson never really made it.

Bought on the same day as Tim Hobson, Magunsson neither got the days of glory that Hobson did nor worked his way into a first-team place like Daniel Tellskär. This was in part due to his reluctance to commit himself to either the central midfielder or the out-and-out winger positions, which made coaches pick more specialised teammates over him.

He existed as a bit-part player for several seasons before moving on to Belgium.
