Robbie Football Club fielded a 5-5-0 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Football mostly relied on their brilliant long range shooting ability. Grilled used their divine (+4) ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Grilled's
Vikram Mudaliar refused to leave the field despite hurting his back 19 minutes into the match. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 22 minutes into the match, and
Moey Xin Seng wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Grilled's
Florus Romijn got himself booked for a foul. Grilled came close to extending their lead as
Cyril Künzler delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 34 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting.
Cyril Künzler's lightning pace was too much for
Mohd Hafizi Mohd Hazmi who could only look on as the Grilled player blasted one home. 0 - 2. It was obvious that Football set up their play to get a shooter in position, and after 39 minutes they succeeded with their tactics when
Tomasz Krużołek found a hole in the defence and his long shot left the keeper without a chance. 1 - 2. Some beautiful play by Football set up
Dániel Beraczka in a good shooting position after 43 minutes, but
Massoud Dob made a great save on the low hard shot. Grilled's
Neeraj Muthyala made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 44 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
After 49 minutes, Grilled's
Chan Ze Han burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 3. 60 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Bhavya Panigrahi gave
悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) a quick hug as he left the field.
Chu Xin Lee received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 75 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 4. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
Moey Xin Seng would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Bernie Egan entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 88 minutes. The referee announced 3 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 1 - 4. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.
The most dominating Football player was without a doubt
Martin Holm.
Ignacio Cebreiros was a disappointment, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Chan Ze Han.
悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) turned in a dismal performance, however.
