Hats Off Mick

Isaac Altefähre couldn't help but be a little grumpy in his Golden Boot acceptance speech, given right after the match, and Hovaness Noubaryan could agree that Grilled had no right to win this one as they did. "We were running on fumes, without considering that we had three of our best unavailable, and Yuta Nakakita injured midway through. It was a top effort from our younger guys."

"Now why can't they do that every week?"

newbies' unexpected 0-6 away loss to Ropelearner FC, whose Dániel Bejczi found an excellent hat-trick, allowed the Birds to leapfrog into second. Ropelearner's victory would guarantee another season in III.15 for themselves with ArSenal's defeat, making this a mutually-beneficial arrangement.

-Blitz- for their part were given a guard of honour at the relegated Warriors, and proceeded to dismantle them 7-0. Last but not least, Red Chaos enjoyed their preparation for their qualification game against IN Radian, as they likewise smashed FC Pires by seven clear goals, with veteran Yeoh Kian Loong shining bright.

It was a downer for Farmer Bunnies, however, as they again failed against credible opposition. Despite looking impregnable against Unium F.C for long stretches, there was nothing for it when Panayiotakis Pagkalos' deflected drive off a corner went in, and they were unable to muster a response in the remaining hour of gameplay.

Enzo Paolo Panzarino still wound up with the III.11 scoring title - his third, and his first at this level - after M4 United's Enéias Trentini too drew a blank against Soon Soon, but he admitted that it was at best a secondary concern. "I'm frankly not sure how we're going to proceed from here."

There wasn't any such second-guessing at Grilled International, who romped to the title with a flawless fourteen wins from fourteen games, thrashing Samotišky Saints 9-0, with Micky bin Kadir recording his fifth hat-trick of the campaign. That put him at an incredible 23 goals in the league, far ahead of Benfica 1904 pair Marian Chivulescu and Bernard Paßlack, who managed sixteen each.

Some are openly doubting if Micky's fairytale rise can continue in the fifth division, but the 29 year-old striker is certainly not taking their words to heart. "Hey, if I was in the habit of heeding reasonable advice, I'd be selling snacks outside the stadium!"
