High Ee Rated
Italian seventh division side Sporting Ombrone 2017 got a real bargain today, as they concluded the transfer of Grilled's 17 year-old forward Ee Chun Jie for just S$110000. Ee had been one of the Chicken Wings' gems in his tenure there, getting a respectable eleven goals in his nineteen starts with the youth side.
Aside from that, Ee had always been a born leader. "He wasn't especially big or tall or anything, but the others just wound up following him." scout Mok Feng De recalled. "He was always very mature for his age."
That lack of particular outstanding physical attributes might have also caused Ee to be underrated, according to Mok. "He's operating at a very high level, anywhere you put him in attack, central or wide. But he just isn't flashy. It's hard to appreciate him, unless you watch closely and carefully."
True or not, Ee's reputation was such that Bolivian Division Three leaders UYUNI F.C. put in a call, with A.C.PICCHIO and Maracana FC (both Italian Division Five), Iron Flower (Dutch Division Six), RC CHABITE (French Division Six) and Zamazon (Turkish Division Six) soon doing likewise. Other than Sporting Ombrone 2017, however, only Hong Kong third division club illbeback took negotiations into an advanced stage.

Hovaness Noubaryan added. "We'd have been happy to keep Ee on in another year, but given the club's roadmap, this move is best for his own career."
