Fire Without A Name

Grilled's Supporter Week Trophy campaign began swimmingly, with Raúl Himadas taking just two minutes to open against Myanmar III.3 runners-up FA Prometheus. He would add another from a second-half penalty, with José Girón forward briefly equalizing from Mohd Marzuki Khairul's lapse in the 17th minute. Marzuki, Lim An Keng and Brian Reddy would bust Petr Prygunov thrice in the span of five minutes, however, with Nanda Phyo Aung getting another back right before half-time. Himadas would be withdrawn to disapproval from the stands in the 89th minute, but Damian Hutter did the substitution justice with a great strike in added time, for 6-2.

The next two games were similar in nature, with Berlin VI.812 favourites 1. FC Kreuzberg 06 looking sharp in their lime green and pink kit, only to concede seven before Danish striker Nikolaj Thorning slipped one in - with Mohd Marzuki Khairul raising Grilled to 8-1 later. Curaçao III.1 entrants Kappa I fared little better, with Lim An Keng leading the Birds to a 6-1 trouncing, if with Rigino Locadia denying Radomil Marcol a clean sheet yet again.

Winning the first three rounds with a +16 goal difference had the Birds as high as 142nd, but they would then slip from those lofty heights against Croatian III.9 club Nemoj po glavi druže plavi in the final game. There would be a 2-8 shellacking with the Birds simply lethargic, and former Haiti youth international Stanley Resignac in unstoppable form with a hat-trick. This dropped Grilled all the way down to 2217th, and had Marcol vowing to do a lot better tomorrow.

For the Farmer Bunnies, they would have a better than expected run, beginning with a 1-1 draw against Norwegian V.63 champions ZeroGoals. Daniele Fissore opened for ZeroGoals in the 59th minute off Kunto Haapajoki's inspired risky backheel, but Lim Su Liang soared over Frenchman Stéphane Philippe to nick a floating free-kick into the far post, 17 minutes later.

They would not concede after that, and were instead absolutely clinical with their few counterattacks. Amaya Ravula did the job in the 37th minute from a quick corner kick against Dutch VI.184 side Darrera CF, with German VI.491 former Rubin-Pokal (Liga VII) holders ESV Holstein Fuchsberg then falling to a direct Gabriel Priebe free-kick in the 67th. Guyana Homegrown League V.133 leaders Guyana Crocodiles could do no better, with Priebe lashing it past Wayne Cassity 64 minutes in, again from just outside the box.

This had the Buns overhaul the Birds in 1964th, and Dušan Václavík feted the 39 year-old American veteran for his faultless shooting. "Nobody has quite reached his standards in hitting targets from long range in training." the Czech playmaker revealed. "And perhaps none of us will."

Grilled International split the difference with two wins and two losses for 11945th, starting with a strong 3-0 shutout of Swiss VI.851 winners Höfliche Jungs, who had recently lifted the Coupe Grand Saint-Bernard (VII). Their fifteen straight competitive wins counted for little against International's midfield dominance, and Umut Koza followed by Egidius van der Duin would double up about the 39th minute, after a super Khosrov Danelyan free-kick in the 14th.

Austrian III.1 side Vienna Maniacs would then see International off 2-1 with Number Eight Philipp Neumayr finding a brace from near and far, with Egidius van der Duin pulling one back after 78 minutes. It only got worse against German V.83 contestants Cologne Minimals, who smashed International 4-1 with Umut Koza getting the consolation in the 57th minute, from a senseless Abdoljalil Hajatinasab backpass.

International were back to winning ways against another Austrian club, with Wien IV.51 side Damandramha admittedly not making it easy, in a 2-3 defeat. The Bruneians probably had the referee to thank for a third minute penalty call that Khosrov Danelyan converted, with the Armenian adding a free-kick 38 minutes in. Ovidi Alzogaray and Gideon Augustin had Damandramha chasing, but Remond Bergervoet's 19th minute strike made it a bridge too far.
