Mok Moves To Chile
17 year-old defensive midfielder Mok Li Leong joined up with spanking-new Chilean VI.152 side Tabunco FC on a free, with a fair number of the Bunnies coaches unhappy that
Vishnu Tallapaka passed up on signing the youngster. "Mok's as incredible a defensive midfielder as I have seen at his age." scout Yip De Da complained. "If he can't get a tryout with the Buns, I'm not sure who can."
Tallapaka acknowledged Mok's potential, and insisted that it was for the player's own good that he was not recruited to the seniors. "It's just a case of bad timing here - he's a massive talent, Yip has that right, but there's just no getting enough minutes with how we are packed. It doesn't sit well with me either!"
It isn't as if Mok has it set at his new club either, with head coach Germán Herrera having recruited seven other players today, including the well-developed 18 year-old Polish playmaker Feliks Jakuszko from KS Skub. Italian Nicola Mallone might be more direct competition for Mok, however, and he will have a lot to do to distinguish himself in a new environment.
