Captain At The Wheel
Chow Ying Lee was selected as the Man of the Match, with his goal a nice blend of sheer pace and extreme technical skill, but he insisted that it was
Qassem Madaini who was behind Grilled's win. "We were lost in the first half, but Qassem never stopped pushing us on. He's probably much more important to us than most of our supporters realise, especially given our formation."
Madaini was modest when asked, insisting that it was a combined effort that had dragged the Birds across the line. As to his future at Grilled, the man replied that he was taking it a season at a time. "We have several great young defenders waiting patiently to step in. But as long as the coach thinks I have a part to play, I'll stay and do what I'm tasked to."
