Grilled were handed a present by TTTNW today, as they upset Rollin' Thunder at Takemikazuchi to hand Grilled sole ownership of top spot. Two quickfire goals by Alameda and Ferrer at the end of the first half proved too much for the defending S-League champions to overcome, though Ruben Gouveia managed to pull one back. Rollin' further lost midfielder Chua Min Fu for a month with a shin injury, after nobody pulled out from a fifty-fifty challenge at fill tilt.
The win also meant that TTTNW are technically still in the hunt for the title, though Arrogancae and of course Rollin' have a much better shout. Arrogancae enjoyed the perfect warm-up for the Cup final by thrashing Herron 8-0, while Team Singapore continued their climb to safety as they put Durian_picker down, 9-0. These victories didn't come without cost, though, as Arrogancae's Ibrahim bin Abu Bakar limped off towards the end of the first half, while Team Singapore's Loo Jie Kok will be out for a fortnight, and Jue Shiu-Fai will not be available to face mist next week after a late sending-off.
