Jalufo Slaughter
Double Fours
Grilled's friendlies series ended in a fittingly miserable fashion as they score went into double digits against them for the second time in three weeks. Morocco Division Two club Jalufo CF didn't pull any punches, and completely wiped out an increasingly disunited Grilled second XI.
This time, Grilled didn't even put up their usual early resistance, as experienced Spanish midfielder Miguel Riaño loped in from the left to stroke a deliberate effort around
Cheung Huel-sheng. Within ten minutes he was followed by Cláudio Silva and German leftback Robert Trubel, who would put many a forward a shame with his finishing before the final whistle.
Lee Jie Siong, probably Grilled's top-rated player for the day, was understandably unhappy at his turn of events. He soon had more cause to be aggrieved, as he ended up on the receiving end of a wild scything tackle by Vasil Konstantinov, which put him out of commission.
Dani Spirig entered the fray, but was unable to make an impact alone as Grilled's midfield was given the run-around by some neat passing. Riaño tapped in his second, and Trubel scored from a penalty, either side of Mohd Firdaus being chopped down by Vladimir Pilyutin as the hosts didn't let up on aggressiveness.
Japanese striker Yoshihiro Katayama completely deceived the slightly ungainly
Sándor Deme in the 59th minute with a smooth feint, leaving Deme on his butt and Katayama totally free to prod the ball home. Miguel Riaño got his hat-trick by powering past a pedestrian
Luis Alcántara, but then blemished what was a near-perfect performance with a completely unneeded studs-up tackle on Chowdhury, who was lucky to remain uninjured. Ricklef Panter scored in the meantime to make it eight-nil still with twenty minutes to go.
Robert Trubel was not to be outdone, as he dumped another penalty kick past Cheung with ease, and then dribbled through a completely winded Alcántara for his fourth. Riaño regained parity with a nice left-footed strike from ten metres, before Fjällbratt, who must not have enjoyed the proceedings, unwisely responded to taunting from the terraces by flinging the ball at a particularly impolite fan, earning himself a booking.
