Eagles Pick Up Stone
Local II.3 side Galactic Eagles CF, a spinoff of Tokyo's former Nippon Ruby Challenger Cup winners FC Gotanda Gunners, snapped up the Farmer Bunnies' academy winger Hayden Stone on a free transfer today. The 17 year-old is further known for his threat at corners, a valuable combination to possess as a wide player.
Stone was delighted to be given a go at what many consider to be Ang Mo Kio's top club, and will be in good company seeing as how the Eagles' last transfer before him had been national star Chua Keong Hui for some S$15 million, a month and a half ago. His more direct role models will probably be Aaron Lau and Kee Ping Eng, and given that Lau is 32 years old, Stone would do well to eye his spot someday.
