Focisokk Finds Pang
Hungarian sixth division side Focisokk signed 17 year-old Grilled International lad Pang Sze Rong on a free today, with head coach Kristóf Schlosser eager to add to his burgeoning collection of youngsters, in the hopes of rescuing their season. The opening-day 0-2 loss to OMTK-ULE might not have been the worst, but for their visitors being in the midst of administration themselves.
This was welcomed by Pang nonetheless, with the defensive prospect having already been on the market for several weeks. He had fit in well in the Busy Bees academy since being scouted by Adinath Pant, but had not exactly grown too much in other respects. Still, the coaches were of the general opinion that he deserved a chance to develop further in his main specialty.
The Birds' former academy trainee Chee Kok Kang might be a success story that Pang could do well to emulate, as he snagged a S$580,000 move from Swedish V.499 leaders 1894 Gårda to Italian VII.608 frontrunners loresmi fanclub, days before turning nineteen. Chee is clearly much improved as a playmaker since his departure from Singapore, and should be looking to establish himself in Fabro Rodríguez's starting lineup very soon.
