Tylor Goes München
Grilled Birds youth defender Tylor Thompson went to German VII.487 side FC_Bayern München on a free today, with head coach Sam Qasem El-Khateeb recently dispensing of previous trainees Armin Huchler and Alfio Federici, for a total of just over S$5 million.
Thompson, scouted by Lim Hock Puay from his community centre team, had been regarded as one of the most natural centrebacks that had graced the Chicken Wings in recent seasons, which made the nominal transfer fee a bit of a letdown. "I don't think we'll be making much from our academy, if this is the state of the market." Lim mused. "Perhaps the recession is here after all."
