Zyrofo Snags Li
Hungarian VI.569 side Zyrofo SC took a chance on 19 year-old Grilled International forward Li Kum Lee, after he had languished for a season in the reserve squad, following his graduation from the Busy Bees. This had not brought Li any appearances with the senior team proper, but his dedication would earn him a second look from Portuguese coach Albertino Queirós.
Queirós, who is on his second management stint after two seasons heading up former Swiss national champions Traktor Glooria, saw something in Li that his International trainers evidently hadn't. To be fair, it wasn't as if Queirós was being particularly selective, given that Li was his thirteenth free transfer signing in his first two weeks at Zyrofo.
This was more than enough for the lad, however, who was just over the moon at having the opportunity to turn professional for real. "They all said that it was unlikely that an eighteen year-old would get recruited, much less nineteen." he said excitedly. "But it happened!"
