Gombak 7 - 1 Grilled

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 14779 to Tarpots Rec.. Urban Nelies was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Zohidjon Dilshodov and Antonio Marcuzzi. The match took place on neutral ground. The following players took the field for Gombak: Arsenikos - Randolo, Jänchen - Thongpailin, Wang, Sze Keng, Chan, Sze Yi - Mądry, Ehrgang, Pittiglio.

The following players had been chosen by Grilled: Vadalà - Mohammad Harun, Keng Chuan, Chuan Yong - 田宮 (Tamiya), An Keng, Teck Fu, Khairul, Baena - Ze Han, Xin Seng.

Bukit Gombak started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 3-5-2 formation. After the game, the most discussed event will probably be the penalty given after 14 minutes that gave the visitors the 0 - 1 lead. Despite the controversy, Bilal Mohammad Harun struck home the penalty, as cool as anything. Due to some great work on the right wing Gombak's Chong Sze Keng was able to even the score after 16 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. Gombak took the lead 17 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as Jan Mądry elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 20 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but Manuel Vadalà got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. Grilled mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 21 minutes, but Mohd Marzuki Khairul was unable to convert from short range. 39 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Ronny Wang broke through, making the score 3 - 1 for Gombak. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 1. Gombak claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

Lim An Keng would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Chia Kwang Tse entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Gombak to 4 - 1 as Jan Mądry finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Cheers filled the stadium as Ronny Wang broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 1 to Gombak. After 69 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Quintin Chan gave the Gombak supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 6 - 1. With 75 minutes played, Gombak's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to Sim Sze Yi he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 7 - 1. Chia Kwang Tse of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 80 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Bhavya Panigrahi came on for Aw Keng Chuan. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 7 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Gombak, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

The most dominating Gombak player was without a doubt Jan Mądry. Thilo Ehrgang on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's top performer was clearly Chan Ze Han. On the other hand, 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya)'s play was disheartening.
