Nowegian sixth division side Jensen Lions FC took a punt on the Birds' Nicklaus Tang, a few days after a wholesale clearout, as Chilean head coach Marciano Millape seeks to replenish his squad. That had the 18 year-old Tang recruited along with the Garnacheros FC pair of Manuel Gordillo and Matías Castellanos, and Samuel Brito Rocha from Atlético Brasileiro F.C..

Tang had been hoping to be part of the Birds' rebuilding project, but always knew that hopes were slim. "We were upfront with him on that." chief scout Tham Beng Li said. "His age profile was not the best, and he was just a cut below what the higher-ups wanted. A pity. Otherwise, he might well have understudied Lau Chu Soon, they're fairly similar types really."

Well, Tang will get his chance to prove Grilled's management wrong with the Lions, but there were few hard feelings in reality. "I can't ask for more than to start my pro career, really." he commented. "There's always the chance to come back in the future."
