Chng Consulted
Grilled International's wing hopeful Chng Chang Wei would land a new club nearly seven weeks after beginning his search, with Guam IV.22 frontrunners Abendnebel Consulting offering him a free transfer out. The 17 year-old's strong and simple dribbling style had won him some admirers during his time with the Busy Bees, but also had him marked as a marginal talent by observers.
"It's refreshing to see his honest type of run nowadays, but it might not get him very far in the pro ranks." International assistant coach Abdillah bin Mohd remarked. "But he does have the frame for it, and if he mixes it up a bit, he might very well make it."
Abendnebel's head coach Héctor Horacio Marchat is hardly pinning all his hopes on Chng, that said, with the past few days alone seeing him sign thirteen other youngsters, with the most paid being S$25,000 for Maja Attack's Piotr Wiatrowski. He will have much to do to distinguish himself with his new employers, then.
