Juan Interesting Place
Grilled Birds apprentice forward Lee Jing Yeng took the road less travelled, as he became one of Tito Ilurdoz's first signings, for the freshly set-up San Juan F. C.. The Puerto Rico club had signed three other players on free transfers alongside Lee, as Ilurdoz worked towards his plan of building a fluent strikeforce from scratch.
Lee definitely fit the description, with the only real knock on him being his relatively-advanced age, of close to nineteen years. Otherwise, he had all the natural tools of a classic centre-forward, including a penchant for getting to headers in the box, which likely convinced San Juan F. C. to anoint him with the Number Eleven shirt.
Chicken Wings scout Mok Feng De was delighted at Lee having gotten a bite. "I don't want to say that he was the easiest lad to work with, but he channels his passion well most of the time. I think he will be a big hit for them if he feels appreciated."
