Hao Chi For Batigol
Farmer Bunnies' prospective defender Lee Hao Chi would move across town to sign with Geylang's Real Batigol today, in a deal worth some S$52000. While Real Batigol have been around for a relatively short time, their linkages with Italy's polentoni fc and Malta's Lokomotiv Pannocchia were plus factors for Lee, as was their having an experienced gaffer in Raúl Manjón, who managed to help Santosh Ramakrishnan into the national U-20 squad not long ago.
Ang Mo Kio fifth divisioners TeamBoba could frankly not measure up just yet, and despite Norwegian head coach John Ophus putting in a personal appeal, it wouldn't be much of a choice. The 17 year-old Lee is already looking forward to getting up to speed with fellow trainees - Woodlands Society's Lim Lee Yeng and Kampung Reunited's Teng Wee Hao - and ideally as soon as possible.
