Hairi For Z0r0z
18 year-old centreback Hj Hairi bin Hj Muhd Aqmal Hakeem, lately of the Busy Bees, would earn a place in Cuban III.2 startup Z0r0z United's first batch of recruits today. Head coach Fulvio Lairet had gone for three Italians - Mario Pondi, Rino Chiavegatti and Roberto Buttarazzi - as well as a Norwegian lad, Arve Omdahl, as well. All were on free transfers.
Bees scout Daud bin Radiman was mostly relieved that Hj Hairi had gotten a foot in. "He's a defender with no glaring holes in his game, is comfortable pushing up into midfield with the ball, and can hit long passes with some accuracy." Daud expanded. "It would have been a real shame, had he not received at least a season to prove himself."
The fates were not as kind to a host of Hj Hairi's peers, sadly, with Zhao Yangming and Hj Jefri bin Azmin deciding to give up on their footballing quest, after gaining no offers. The same went for Farmer Bunnies' Ang Keong Heng, Khoo Yong Jie and Paul Philip, who simply could not get a bite from any clubs either.
