The Farmer Bunnies would not neglect their local lads, as they inducted Sunil Patel into the senior squad some days after their high-profile recruitment of Richard Agyei. Patel had been considered to be one of the Rancher Rabbits' most well-rounded players in his age-group, which served him well in his favourite spot in central defence; the Rabbits youth coaches additionally considered him excellent as a defensive midfielder.

Bunnies head coach Dalibor Kostadinović was all smiles as he posed with the 17 year-old Patel while helping hold his new Number 33 jersey, as he hinted at the club's eventual transition to the next generation. "This generation of homegrown stars has done us proud, but it's important to prepare for the future too. Sunil knows what he has to live up to, and I reckon he can make it with some hard work."
