Vorwärts Back For More
FC Vorwärts Wettringen (Brunei) reloaded on Grilled International trainees, signing Zhong Kian Kwang and Hung Soon Xin on free transfers, after brief talks. The duo will take their places in Vorwärts' squad with immediate effect, with Zhong eyeing a central midfield spot, and Hung willing to play slightly further back.
Although their former Busy Bees seniors Fang Guanlong, Rahman bin Kamran and Ali Timbang bin Seruji have not fared well under Vorwärts' former Austrian international head coach Sascha Schwab, the duo were not discouraged. "It's up to us alone." Zhong affirmed.
It has been an eventful week for the Bees all around, with the recruitment of 15 year-old Hardi bin Besar by Adinath Pant making waves around the region. "Hardi's a potential world-beater, and I don't say that lightly." Pant insisted. "He's got that indescribable flair that only the chosen have."
Hardi was assigned the Number Nine jersey, despite his self-professed preference for playing out wide. "That would be quite a waste." Pant continued. "Why hang about the sidelines, when he can probably just beat a man or two and score?"
Pant would concede that youth tends to make reading a prospect's ability trickier, with Abdilah bin Hj Jappar bowing out after coming highly-recommended. "All else being equal, I'd rather get them early still. From what I hear, the Chicken Wings have just accepted Amran Anis, who's barely turned fifteen."
As it stands, Pant and Zulfadly bin Hj Ratano will be getting help in the scouting department, as Grilled International announced their intention to hire Daud bin Radiman, who will take charge of the Belait area. "We've not been disappointed, but we're also always looking to expand our catchment."
