Ming Dynasty
Rancher Rabbits star winger Lim Ming Chun had a bright future predicted for him, after he was selected by former Coppa Appennini VII Serie winners Fly Hannover, to be part of their squad.
Lim was not an automatic attention-grabber, and had moreover been rejected by Soon Soon before being scouted by Ooi Long Ming. However, his unprepossessing appearance hid an exceptional footballing sense, and although he didn't have the outstanding physical tools that stereotypical wingers had, his sheer versatility often had opponents completely at a loss.
"Nobody quite knew what to make of him." chief scout Yip De Da said. "I haven't seen a winger quite as adept at exploiting any and all weaknesses in his defensive matchup, even on the first team."
Fly Hannover would fork out just over half a million for Lim, edging out Team funbranleur (French Division Five) in the final reckoning. Before that, Lim had been connected most strongly with fcsots (Spanish Division Six) and VoltriCapitale (Italian Division Six), with a host of other sixth division clubs also in contention: two Finnish outfits in FC Ruissalon Dinamo and AFC Vesimittari, and another Italian side in -Brixia-. Marina Sailors made an early approach, but nothing further developed.
Ooi encouraged Lim to give it his all at Hannover. "It's always been a joy to watch how he adjusts his game, but that alone may not be enough in Europe. But, I'd definitely not bet against him finding a solution, as he always seems to do!"
