Grilled 6 - 1 Singa

iv id="matchReport"> Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 47996 to The Cooking Pot. Eddy Kirchfeld was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Anton Jastrup and Silvester Winkler. Everyone was excited about the upcoming Jurong derby and the crowd was divided evenly. The following players had been chosen: Batâr - 中北 (Nakakita), Trung Quá - Künzler, Xin Lee, 入江 (Irie), Parvathaneni, Romijn - Davlatov, Xin Seng, Ze Han.

They fielded: Leng Yi - Sun, Yadav, Feng How, Hafiz - Kong Soon, Hui Wan, Siong Wee - Steć, Reilly, Botello.

Grilled Birds entered the field in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, Singa Songo, chose to start the game with a 4-3-3 lineup. Grilled took the lead 6 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as Moey Xin Seng" class="homeplayer">Moey Xin Seng elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Grilled put themselves up 2 - 0 when Islom Davlatov broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. With 29 minutes played, Teo Kong Soon of Singa fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Chu Xin Lee" class="homeplayer">Chu Xin Lee squirmed through their central defence after 33 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Hilal Bakhtiar" class="homeplayer">Hilal Bakhtiar replace Hoàng Trung Quá after 33 minutes. Grilled's Florus Romijn increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 34 minutes. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Grilled to 5 - 0 as Chu Xin Lee" class="homeplayer">Chu Xin Lee finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 68 percent.

The away team improved the scoreline to 5 - 1, as Miguel Ángel Botello struck home, set up well by a play on the left 54 minutes into the match. Grilled solidified their lead at the 60 minute mark, as 雄輝 (Yuki) 入江 (Irie) dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 1. Grilled's 雄輝 (Yuki) 入江 (Irie) had an excellent opportunity after 69 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! After 79 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However, Soo Leng Yi made a spectacular save. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 82 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but Soo Leng Yi got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. Florus Romijn wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 88 minutes into the game by Iman Eshrafi. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 6 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.

Most important Grilled player was Islom Davlatov. However, Hilal Bakhtiar" class="homeplayer">Hilal Bakhtiar made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Singa player was without a doubt Marian Steć. Kwa Siong Wee was a disappointment, however.
