East Coast Islanders fielded a 4-4-2 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Grilled took the lead after 9 minutes making the score 0 - 1. N. Muthyala placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. 10 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty and G. Dvorak was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 2 rolling the ball in by the right post. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like Y. Wen-Tai. Grilled increased their lead after 25 minutes when G. Dvorak broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. N. Muthyala dispatched a majestic long shot 30 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 84 percent.

After 58 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for R. Isufi who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 4. The visitors' L. Aik Jia took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 59 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Grilled. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) of Grilled took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 78 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 6. After 79 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave G. Dvorak a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 7. This third goal completed a hattrick for G. Dvorak. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. H. Bakhtiar wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for H. Trung Quá after 80 minutes. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. L. Wan Kang was the replacement. H. Trung Quá became the new Grilled captain. L. Aik Jia's speed was clear to see after 81 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released G. Dvorak who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 0 - 8. After 84 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed R. van der Ban to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 9. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 0 - 9. Grilled had most of the ball, with 86 percent of possession.

The most dominating Islanders player was without a doubt J. Yiu-Chung. However, T. Chian-Chiang made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's best player was R. Isufi. On the other hand, R. van der Ban's play was disheartening.
