Grilled 8 - 0 Sporting

iv id="matchReport"> Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and AKIBA Yodobashi Arena saw a crowd turnout of 3120. Nicke Karlsson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Piyush Bhimanawar and Domingo Constantinescu. The match took place on neutral ground. The following players had been chosen: Batâr - 入江 (Irie), Trung Quá - 中北 (Nakakita), Xin Lee, Xin Seng, Parvathaneni, Won - Isufi, Wan Kang, Dvorak.

They fielded: bin Erywan - Waagenaar, Carul, bin Kaling - bin Hj Azni, Löw, Knebl, bin Hj Azaharudin, Brunner - bin Salleh, Strömberg.

Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For FC Sporting Belait, the formation of choice was 3-5-2. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their mythical level with that tactic. 18 minutes into the game, A. bin Hj Azni was a hair's breadth away from giving Sporting the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by V. Batâr saved the home team that time. That Grilled's C. Xin Lee has the ability of doing what no one expects him to do was shown as he ran over an opposing defender, snatched the ball and passed to R. Isufi who hit it hard into the wide open goal after 23 minutes: 1 - 0! After 24 minutes, G. Dvorak put Grilled ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. 35 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as 悠. 中北 (Nakakita) broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Grilled. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's 雄. 入江 (Irie) increasing the lead to 4 - 0. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. Grilled had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

C. Won could have increased the lead after 53 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. 65 minutes into the game, L. Wan Kang had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came C. Awyong. C. Won made one of his many fine passes from the wing into the middle 66 minutes into the match. C. Awyong bravely attempted to execute a diving header and the ball was met firmly with his forehead for Grilled. 5 - 0. Given a free kick close to the byline, Grilled tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let C. Awyong slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 6 - 0, 68 minutes into the game. Grilled put themselves up 7 - 0 when 雄. 入江 (Irie) broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. A well placed corner kick from R. Isufi was followed by C. Awyong's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Grilled, the score now 8 - 0. At that, C. Awyong was noted down for a hat trick! Sporting breathed new life into the game with an attempt to reduce the lead after 86 minutes, but the home side's defenders cleared the ball off the line, after a long shot coming in from the left rebounded off the crossbar. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 8 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

Grilled's best player was R. Isufi. H. Trung Quá on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Sporting player was P. Carul. H. bin Kaling was a disappointment, however.
