Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Seng - Bakhtiar, Cisquell, van der Ban - Meyer, Won, Isufi, Leong Kum, Aik Jia - Wan Kang, Bellamoli.

Pressing was the tactic of the day for Grilled. After 34 minutes of play, G. Grigorov gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Grilled tied it all up, 38 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by H. Bakhtiar, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 1 - 1. With clinical precision, the cross from winger L. Aik Jia found its way to C. Meyer's head, and a screaming header gave Grilled the goal after 41 minutes played. 1 - 2 Olympus's H. Klangkvist made an attempt at equalising 42 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. 44 minutes into the game, Grilled's A. Leong Kum surprised the visitors with a raking cross-field pass to L. Aik Jia who easily found the back of the net, making the score 1 - 3. The players of Grilled now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. L. Wan Kang received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 44 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 4. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Olympus's N. Knutsson was shown a yellow card after 44 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 44 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for R. Isufi who increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 5. 1 - 5 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

59 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 6 as R. Isufi finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The referee showed Grilled's C. Meyer the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Olympus were forced into a substitution as H. Klangkvist couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing S. Robertsson to come in off the bench. After 65 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave L. Wan Kang a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 7. With 68 minutes played, P. Bellamoli nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. L. Aik Jia made a nice dash down the wing after 76 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded. The home crowd was not impressed when R. van der Ban came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 81 minutes. Grilled were now up 1 - 8. There was concern in the stands when, at the 82 minute mark, Olympus's J. Toivonen hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. P. Bellamoli wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 89 minutes into the game by S. Fu. Grilled had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

The most dominating Olympus player was without a doubt G. Grigorov. J. Hansson on the other hand, had a terrible day. A. Leong Kum performed admirably for Grilled. R. van der Ban was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 8.
