Grilled 4 - 4 Almighty

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. Starters: Kryus - Ross, 福泉 (Fuquan), Madaini - Ping Shun, 长春 (Changchun), Dorogan, Jing Wei, Aik Jia - bin Mohd Kassim, Ying Lee.

Almighty had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. The following players had been chosen: Khan - Ah Hock, Yaqué, Chee Ze, Tischer - Quilempan, Mignozzi, Kum Hui, Schilder, Driggers - Araújo.

Almighty preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance. Grilled's L. Aik Jia made use of his speed to get free of the defence, but he still couldn't get a shot off 4 minutes into the match. A penalty was given after 5 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 0 - 1. M. Yaqué was the scorer. The sun seemed to put W. Ross in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. After 11 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Almighty was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Grilled's C. Ying Lee came in from the right after 25 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 1 - 1. A lunatic dribble by G. Dorogan, in front of his own keeper, set up Almighty's H. Araújo for an embarrassingly easy strike after 26 minutes. 1 - 2! Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 27 minutes into the match. M. Yaqué surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. Z. Jing Wei showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 31 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 2 - 2 equaliser away. Almighty took the lead 32 minutes into the game, making the score 2 - 3 after some elegant movement down the middle. D. Quilempan was the scorer. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 38 minutes gave Grilled a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and C. Ying Lee stepped up to the challenge. 3 - 3 It was 3 - 3 at the break. Almighty enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

M. Yaqué delivered a good free kick from an excellent position 56 minutes into the game, but luck wasn't on Almighty's side this time and the ball went wide. W. Ping Shun was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Grilled's defence 57 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 4 - 3. The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs L. Aik Jia found it hard to get back into position. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) replace C. Ying Lee after 75 minutes. With 75 minutes played, Z. Jing Wei could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. 78 minutes into the game Almighty's G. Tischer found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 4 - 4. Almighty had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

M. bin Mohd Kassim performed admirably for Grilled. However, E. Kryus made a disastrous appearance. Most important Almighty player was H. Araújo. H. Ah Hock turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 4.
