Leeverbird mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. The wings were the focus of most of Grilled's attacks today. The coach of Leeverbird wanted to try to change things around after 2 minutes, and gave new tactical instructions. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 8 minutes into the match left Grilled's Zhao Jing Wei completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Grilled increased their lead after 18 minutes when Djan Bacelar broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. With 20 minutes played, 梁. 力勇 (Liyong) nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Leeverbird, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. 刘. 一山 (Yishan) did everything he could to get one back for his Leeverbird, but keeper Edmund Kryus denied him with a spectacular block. Grilled's 凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) was shown a yellow card after 26 minutes for slicing down an opponent. With 28 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed Chow Ying Lee of Grilled to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. A marvellous Leeverbird effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 31 minutes by Radovan Grimm, making the score 1 - 3. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. 34 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 4 as Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Halftime score was 1 - 4. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 5. The players of Grilled now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Leeverbird had to make a substitution after 77 minutes. Raimondo Anspach limped off the field and was replaced by J. Garzón. 梁. 力勇 (Liyong) was, after 84 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper 肖. 睿 (Rui) made the save. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. 凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Walter Ross after 85 minutes.
