A Strange Affair
Club secretary Mohd Hamzah Minhat admitted to being completely bamboozled by a retroactive directive received from the highest echelons of the Hattrick administration, the gist of which was that many clubs' records of match officials were completely inaccurate. Apparently, the referees were not who they seemed to be.
"I can't wrap my head around the explanations - this means that many of our match reports won't quite tally - but they're in charge." Mohd Hamzah shrugged. "I will be directing our clerks to set the archives straight, but it might take some time. It isn't a huge deal, all said."
Club statistician Alfred Tan wasted no time in poring over the delivered dossiers, and determined that four referees have presided over three Grilled matches each: Frederik Norre and Tino Dahlberg, both from Denmark, Mauricio Andrés Frutos of Colombia, and Mike Alveren of the Netherlands. Additionally, 140 other referees have taken charge of exactly two games for the club.
"I don't recall so many Europeans at our old games." one long-time supporter confessed on the forums. "But if they say it, it must be right. Time to update my memories!"
