Grilled 4 - 3 Arrogancae
illed tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination.
Wilhelm Gudenberg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Murat Altemur and
Juan José Tamayo. Starters: Stacey - 俊桂 (Jungui), Tzonkov - Iten, 尊文 (Zunwen) , bin Jantan, 长春 (Changchun), Djekshenkulov - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Arrogancae. They fielded: Cazzulati - Geisler, bin Kassim, Stefanov - Tevs, Schouby, bin Ahman, Jing Wei, Sviben - Viola, Selışıl.
Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. 4 minutes into the match, Arrogancae nearly took the lead, as
Jure Sviben broke through on the right.
Dexter Stacey made the save, however.
Chow Ying Lee caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 7 minutes. This gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead. With 13 minutes played,
Zhao Jing Wei came in from the right and could have had the tying goal, but the defenders successfully repelled the attack by Arrogancae. Grilled solidified their lead at the 16 minute mark, as
Chow Ying Lee manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. After 22 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
朱 (Zhu) 长春 (Changchun) might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However,
Massimo Cazzulati made a spectacular save. Grilled added another goal to their lead as
Chow Ying Lee struck home the 3 - 0 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. At that,
Chow Ying Lee was noted down for a hat trick! The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
Cheers filled the stadium as
林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui) broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 4 - 0 goal for Grilled. Grilled's players now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 65 minutes, Arrogancae switched
Girolamo Viola with
孟 (Meng) 'Aventador' 云滨 (Yunbin), hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air.
Slavcho Tzonkov wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
Walter Ross after 70 minutes. 74 minutes in and an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as
Azer Selışıl charged ahead and scored, reducing the deficit to 4 - 1. Grilled's
朱 (Zhu) 长春 (Changchun) left the field after 75 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
Alex Fonseca.
Alex Fonseca had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 77 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. The away team improved the scoreline to 4 - 2, as
Lachezar Stefanov struck home, set up well by a play on the left 82 minutes into the match. There was concern in the stands when, at the 85 minute mark, Arrogancae's
Shaiful Bahri bin Ahman hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. The corner kick from
Thure Schouby set
Mohd Aiman Wong bin Kassim up perfectly, as he soared to meet the ball, heading it in for 4 - 3. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim.
Paolo Iten on the other hand, had a terrible day. Arrogancae's best player was
孟 (Meng) 'Aventador' 云滨 (Yunbin).
Lachezar Stefanov turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 3.
