München 0 - 6 Grilled
ercast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 1895 at GoldenGod-Arena today.
Iker Manrique was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Antonio Velásquez and
Lorenz Curiger. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for München. They fielded: Waldthausen - Pedersen, Căldăraru, Husum - Hegedűs, Betti, Pavlov, Čeho - Wold, Ahomäki, Gehér.
Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Dias Paes - Ãrva, Talib, è¾¾è£ (Darong) - 剑勇 (Jianyong) , Branbilla, Han Kok, MacKinnon, å·åŸŽ (Chuancheng) - Rotteveel, bin Ku Zainol.
The terraces were silenced after 26 minutes when Grilled's
John MacKinnon put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. After 31 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Quah Han Kok who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 2. After the ball was lifted in from the left,
John MacKinnon was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 32 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. 35 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 3 as
Nawaz Talib finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Halftime score was 0 - 3. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 79 percent of the time.
Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Grilled's
Zoltán Ãrva a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 60 minutes into the game.
Atanas Pavlov's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for München, he bravely continued in the match. Grilled's
Maikel Rotteveel received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 70 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 4 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. The visitors'
Quah Han Kok took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 72 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Grilled. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Grilled. With 77 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Maikel Rotteveel. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 82 percent possession of the ball.
München's top performer was clearly
Balázs Gehér.
Yannick Paul Waldthausen was a disappointment, however.
Valdir Dias Paes performed admirably for Grilled.
å° (Feng) è¾¾è£ (Darong) turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
