Three New Faces
The new campaign will begin with GeoStarZ United FC, seluraralc and Isle of Flames breaking into the top flight for the first time in their history. This situation was welcomed by Grilled coach
Marcus Liehner. "Having two clubs collapse in the middle of a season may make it easier for us from a competitive point of view, but it does nothing for the reputation of the league."
seluraralc followed Arrogancae up from II.2, twelve seasons after Grilled had gone the same route, while Herron go the other way and out of the S-League for the first time in a fitting descent. Isle of Flames replace Durian_picker after an impressive rise from IV.39 through III.7 and then II.4 after just nine full seasons, going through V.10 and IV.32 along the way.
Their future derby opponents GeoStarZ United FC beat the fading legends Team Singapore 1-4 thanks to an outstanding attack after dominating II.1 in their first season there. GeoStarZ have an illustrious history, and in fact were founded before Grilled (as Woof United FC), and were Division Two mainstays for a period before a sudden plunge back to the fourth division. They have come back in a big way, however, and should be a side to watch out for.
