Swiss midfielder Lorenz Paullin has moved on to Eredivisie side FC Blödestein, who have had a record of promoting each season from the tenth division, for a sum of S$5.416 million. FC Blödestein have famously stringent criteria for giving players long-term deals, though, and Paullin will have to prove his worth, though 202 appearances for Grilled probably won't hurt.

Maruxiños (Spanish Division Two), EconomicasPI (Spanish Division Three) and FC Hazardi (Finnish Division Four) were all in the hunt for Paullin, but it was little wonder that Paullin chose to jump from one top division to another. "At my age, these moves don't come by often. Thanks Grilled for a wonderful time." were Paullin's parting words at the press conference.

17 year-old winger Luo Chengbo received rather less attention as he signed professional terms with Nellerski (Dutch Division Six), after turning down FC KäPa (Finnish Division Nine). Luo, who had celebrated his birthday just a week ago, wanted a stint in Grilled's reserves, and was ready to kickstart his career abroad after Liehner couldn't guarantee him a place.
