Grilled cut their squad further by releasing Israeli midfielder Earl Barbour to Argentinean Division Four side Club Atletico Carapa Juniors for S$2.2 million. Athletico, who were mauled 0-5 by Psicoteam in the first league game, have an urgent need for an accomplished attacking midfielder, and see the 24 year-old as their answer.

Earl cut a fine figure in the black-and-white duds of Atletico, and was hardly opposed to the deal which brings with it the lure of first-team football. Starting in just a handful of Cup games, and no league games at all, Earl is anticipating linking up with De Mita and Knobloch-Friedrichsburg already.
