Metro Runs Over Tigers
Yellow-and-black striped FCM tigers pinned themselves to their tall American striker Art Sykes, who gave them the lead with a 21st minute goal, tried and failed to earn a penalty, and then gave his side incentive to continue fighting with a brilliant individual effort with nine minutes left.
Unfortunately for them, Metro FC, playing in all black, had a brace by Antonius Lederer and one more by Nenad Asani by then, and Skyes got himself hauled off soon after his second goal. Metro FC then easily soaked up the Tigers' attacks with a one man advantage, and emerged 3-2 winners at the Cooking Pot in this Division Three Victoria derby.
